Best Stores, Shops and Shopping in Lake Placid

Just in Time for the Holidays, Lake Placid’s Coolest Stores

With the Holiday Season quickly approaching, you might be wondering what Lake Placid has to offer in terms of shopping. We might not be New York City, but there are still unique shops that can provide gifts for everyone on your list.

Local Color1. Local Color Boutique: 2577 Main Street

Now located in the new storefront across from the new Convention Center and municipal parking lot, Local Color is perhaps the most unique boutique in Lake Placid. Specializing in fabulous accessories and select women’s apparel, you can find a little bit of everything here–dresses, outwear, shirts, jewelry, scarves, and hair accessories, to name a few. 518-523-3006.

2. The Fallen Arch: 2523 Main Street

This is the place to go for that athletic person on your list. The Fallen Arch features exclusive running brands like Newton and Zoot, and athletic apparel from brands such as Brooks, Nike, and Under Armour. The Fallen Arch doesn’t just carry running brands; they also have a “little bit of everything,” including choices for lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and golf. 518-523-5310.

3. The Adirondack Popcorn Co.: 2520 Main Street

Who doesn’t love popcorn? One of Lake Placid’s more recent additions to Main Street, The Adirondack Popcorn Company is one of the go-to places for visitors. With more traditional flavors like cheese and caramel, mixed with the unusual, like S’mores and chocolate, the variety allows even the most finicky of popcorn connoisseurs to get their fix. www.adirondackpopcorn.com
