Saratoga Healthy Living ExpoIf you’re looking for ways to improve your health, from your physical to your mental to your spiritual wellness, head on over to the Saratoga Healthy Living Expo on Sunday November 14th from 11am to 4pm. Held at the National Museum of Dance & Lincoln Baths in Saratoga Springs, the Expo will encompass all areas of wellness. The Expo is founded on the concept of integrative wellness, where the body and spirit are uniformly healthy. The cost of admission is $5.00 and includes a host of exhibits, presentations, complimentary treatments and demos.

A long list of exhibitors will be present at the event, representing a cross section of the healthy living products available today. The exhibits range from traditional medicine to the modern healing arts, including everything from faith to fitness. Williams Plastic Surgery, Anti-Aging & Wellness Center, Be Strong Yoga, The Acupuncture Studio, The Tai Chi Center, Gold’s Gym, the American Diabetes Association, Select-Care Chiropractic, GreenCookwareOnline, Ava Anderson Non-Toxic, and many others will have booths at the event.

In addition to the exhibitions, there will be presentations by noted speakers on various aspects of health and wellness. From 11:15- 12:15, Mary Beth McCue, a Holistic and Integrative Nutritionist and Registered Dietician with over 20 years experience, will speak on “Functional Nutrition- Recovery, Prevention, Vitality & More!” McCue uses an approach that blends conventional medicine and diet therapies with the selective use of all-natural scientifically tested therapy to accomplish a client’s specific goals.

Michael Wayne, PhD, will present “How to Live A Long, Healthy Life” from 12:30-1:30. Wayne is a practitioner of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and Integrative medicine with over 25 years clinical experience and the author of Quantum-Integral Medicine: Towards a New Science of Healing and Human Potential. He has pioneered the field of Quantum-Integral Medicine, which relates to the science of emerging properties and how they fit into the body’s innate healing system.

From 1:45-2:45, Bobbi Chase-Wilding and Kathy Curtis present, “Freeing Ourselves from the Toxic Trap: How to Find Safe Products.” The presentation is sponsored by Clean New York, which advances market and policy changes on the grassroots level that will protect people and the environment from toxic chemicals.

“Food and Wellness- A Look Into the Health Benefits of Organic” will be the last presentation from 3:00-4:00, given by Steve Gilman, the Policy Coordinator of the Northeast Organic Farming Association since December 2005.

Lincoln Baths, SaratogaNext door at the historic Lincoln Baths, there will be complimentary treatments and demonstrations of yoga, reiki, massage, acupuncture, tai chi, healing touch, and more throughout the day.

Even the proceeds from this healthful show further the cause of wellness. All proceeds will benefit Simplifying Love, a nonprofit charity that sends cleaning services to the homes of families dealing with cancer treatments. Cancer survivor and founder of, Lisa Morahan, is coordinating the show. was Morahan’s reaction to her own cancer diagnosis, seeking to unify and link all the help available to those with the disease so that they can be sure their life and the lives of their family will continue to function while they are seeking and undergoing treatment. In short, they assist families to run their house and take care of their kids in the hardest of times.
